Keystone Montessori School of Murrysville Employment Openings:
1). Cleaning Position: Two times per month in the evenings or weekends cleaning the school. Bathroom, mop hardwood floor, vacumn carpet area, light dusting, wiping tables, chairs. Cleaning some classroom materials as well. Can make your own schedule.
2). Substitutes:
Substitutes are extremely important in the daily/weekly support of the School. Staff are unavailable at times due to illnesses, meetings, and Montessori workshops. Subs are called on an as needed basis, and additional more permanent hours could become available. Have a flexible schedule and want to work in a Montessori School? Have at least 1 year childcare experience and live close to Murrysville area? Contact the school with your resume.
3). Toddler Assistant: (position filled - seeking subs for this class)
IN SEPTEMBER 2010: Keystone Montessori will be welcoming in their first class of Montessori toddlers.
Toddler Assistant needed for our Montessori classroom of 5 - 10 toddlers. Montessori Toddler classrooms gather children ages 18 months - 3 years of age together in the same room.
Montessori Toddler Assistant position is PART-TIME. Hours are Wednesday - Friday from 9:00 - 11:30. (Possible additional hours could become available.) Seeking Montessori Toddler staff that enjoy working with Toddlers, are energetic, creative, fun, nurturing, constantly alert, and extremely patient.
Qualifications: Prefer a 0-3 Montessori certification, however at a minimum you must have at least 2 years of experience working with children (not including own children). 5+ years childcare experience is a plus. Current clearances, health physical, and Tb Test must be dated within the last 12 months from the first date of employment. Two written references, interview, and verification of childcare experience are all required. Current CPR Training, First Aid Training, and Fire Safety Training is preferred, but not required.
If candidate does not have Montessori experience/credentials then they must be willing to accept and adapt to the Montessori philosophy which is different from traditional toddler education. Starting salary range from $8.50 – 11.50 per hour (neg.) depending upon Montessori experience and/or experience in a childcare setting with the 0-3 age group. Outdoor & indoor play space available, as well as room to take nature walks with your children.
4). Seeking possible Elementary Teacher: Keystone Montessori is seeking an Elementary certified Teacher that also has Montessori certification or interested in obtaining the Certification on their own before the start of the new opening of the Montessori Elementary program at KM. School is currently seeking to fill and open a Montessori Elementary class for Grades 1, 2, and 3 to start August 2011.
Program start date for 2011 depends upon number of interested families enrolled and also obtaning the Montessori qualified teacher to manage the classroom of 8 - 15 students with a salary range of $20,500 - 27,500 for the first year (depending upon experience in Montessori and experience in Elementary school). Position runs August - June.
